Since 1978, Ali Baba Restaurant has served up Mediterranean and American cuisine to Morgantown and its surrounding areas, providing excellent food in a warm and welcoming environment with a unique atmosphere. Ali Baba's has become a destination for Morgantown locals and international travelers from around the country seeking authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.
As Morgantown has expanded, so has Ali Baba's. The restaurant has moved from Westover to High Street in 2003 to its current location at the Morgantown Municipal Airport. Fifteen years after moving to the Airport, Ali Baba Restaurant now offers full catering, banquet menu, buffets, and a premium full-service bar (wine, beer, and liquor).
In March 2018, Samih Zein retired to Morgantown and enthusiastically took over Ali Baba’s long-quality food and service tradition. Samih Zein came from Lebanon in 1970 to study. He finished his BA, MA, and Doctorate in Washington DC, where he worked for several government and defense companies. At the same time, he started with his family several Lebanese restaurants in Arlington, Falls Church, Herndon, and Vienna, VA.
Samih brings his own touch to Ali Baba’s, including adding Lebanese cuisine to the existing Mediterranean and American dishes. Come experience for yourself why Ali Baba’s is the perfect blend of taste and service. With 20 years of experience cooking in the finest restaurants, our chef is excited to present their vision to you and all our guests. We know that you want dining out to be more than just a meal. We work to ensure you have that memorable experience from the moment you arrive.
